Custom Deck Construction in San Diego
From new deck construction to complete replacements, we build durable, thoughtfully designed decks that enhance your home and make the most of your outdoor space.
Decks Designed for Outdoor Living
A well-built deck should feel like a natural extension of your home. At Gebco Construction, we build and replace decks throughout San Diego with a focus on structural integrity, lasting performance, and a finished appearance that complements the surrounding home and outdoor space.
Whether you're replacing an aging deck or creating an entirely new outdoor area, we consider how the space will be used, how it connects to your home, and which materials make the most sense for the project.
Built From the Structure Up
A beautiful finished deck starts with what's underneath it. We evaluate the existing conditions and pay careful attention to framing, connections, hardware, blocking, drainage, and other structural details before the decking goes down.
Depending on your project, our deck work can include:
New deck construction and complete deck replacements
Structural framing and framing repairs
Composite and wood decking
Hidden fastening systems
Stairs and landings
Railings and guard systems
Fascia and finished edge details
Pergolas and integrated outdoor features
Our goal is to build the entire assembly properly—not simply make the surface look new.
Materials Selected for Your Home
Every deck has different performance, maintenance, and design requirements. We work with quality wood and composite decking options, including products from established manufacturers such as Trex and TimberTech, to help you select materials that fit your home's architecture, desired appearance, maintenance preferences, and budget.
We also consider details such as board layout, picture framing, fascia, railing styles, stairs, and transitions so the finished deck feels intentional from every angle.
A Carefully Managed Build
From initial site evaluation and planning through construction and final walkthrough, we keep you informed about the scope, material selections, scheduling, and progress of your project.
We maintain an organized jobsite and take care to protect your home and surrounding property throughout construction. Before completion, we inspect the finished work, address remaining details, and walk the project with you.
Built to Be Used
Your deck should be more than something that looks good in photographs. It should be a space where you can entertain, relax, dine, and enjoy San Diego's outdoor lifestyle for years to come.

Ethan was awesome very professional, priced right & meticulous. Give him a call you won't be sorry !!!
My husband, Ethan, Gebco’s project manager and lead carpenter, has been working alongside his father, the founder of the company, since he was a teenager. From day one, Gebco has been built on a foundation of integrity, honesty, and pride in craftsmanship. I truly have never met two people with a stronger work ethic or more motivation than Ethan and his father. Construction is not just a job for them, it is a passion. They genuinely love helping clients bring their ideas to life and take great care in every detail, whether it is a small project or a full build. Their commitment to quality, transparency, and doing things the right way is evident in every project they take on. A perfect example of Ethan’s dedication happened just days before my bridal shower when there was an unexpected chance of rain. Ethan stepped in and built a patio cover at our home incredibly quickly without sacrificing quality and it turned out absolutely beautiful. The project was completed in time and every single guest commented on how amazing the patio looked and how talented he is. Ethan is deeply dedicated to running Gebco and continuing his father’s legacy while raising the bar for customer service and craftsmanship. Clients consistently return to Gebco for all their construction needs because they know they can trust the work, the process, and the people behind it. Gebco truly cares about their clients and takes immense pride in delivering results that last.
These guys are legit! Old world craftsmanship, attention to detail and the project is always neat and clean as can be. They are very helpful with suggestions and have a portfolio of previous work for idea starters. Have used them in the past and will use them again in the future. Great to see Ethan carrying on the legacy of this fine company.
I hired Gebco Construction to do a kitchen remodel. Ethan and his crew were incredibly thorough and meticulous throughout the entire process. Not only did they pay close attention to every detail, they also kept the work area spotless, which I really appreciated. Their professionalsim and craftmanship truly stood out. They were always there when they said they would be and happy to answer any questions that I had. The project was completed on time and exceeded my expectations. I have a beautiful kitchen that has transformed my home. If your looking for a reliable contractor I highly recommend Gebco.
