San Diego Remodeling, Built to a Higher Standard.
Transforming homes through thoughtful renovations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home remodels. Backed by over 25 years of craftsmanship and experience.
Our Story
Gebco Construction was built on a simple belief: do good work, treat people right, and stand behind what you build.
Founded by Terry Gebhart more than 27 years ago, Gebco began with the work ethic and craftsmanship he developed over a lifetime in construction. What started as one man's commitment to his trade grew into a family business built project by project, relationship by relationship, throughout San Diego.
His son, Ethan, grew up around that business. What began with summers spent working alongside his dad eventually became a career of his own. Over the years, Ethan worked his way through the field, learning carpentry, remodeling, problem-solving, project management, and, most importantly, the responsibility that comes with working on someone's home.
Today, Gebco represents two generations of hands-on construction experience and the same principles the company was founded on. We believe the details matter. We believe a clean, organized jobsite matters. We believe homeowners deserve clear communication and to know what is happening with their project, and we believe the work behind the walls deserves just as much attention as the finishes everyone sees.
As Gebco moves into its next generation, we're building on that foundation while continuing to raise the standard for what our clients can expect from their contractor. Our focus is on thoughtfully executed remodels, additions, custom homes, and residential construction that improve the way people live in their homes.
For us, the Gebco name is more than a company name. It's our family name, our reputation, and something we intend to stand behind for generations to come.
Built by experience. Carried forward by family.

Ethan was awesome very professional, priced right & meticulous. Give him a call you won't be sorry !!!
My husband, Ethan, Gebco’s project manager and lead carpenter, has been working alongside his father, the founder of the company, since he was a teenager. From day one, Gebco has been built on a foundation of integrity, honesty, and pride in craftsmanship. I truly have never met two people with a stronger work ethic or more motivation than Ethan and his father. Construction is not just a job for them, it is a passion. They genuinely love helping clients bring their ideas to life and take great care in every detail, whether it is a small project or a full build. Their commitment to quality, transparency, and doing things the right way is evident in every project they take on. A perfect example of Ethan’s dedication happened just days before my bridal shower when there was an unexpected chance of rain. Ethan stepped in and built a patio cover at our home incredibly quickly without sacrificing quality and it turned out absolutely beautiful. The project was completed in time and every single guest commented on how amazing the patio looked and how talented he is. Ethan is deeply dedicated to running Gebco and continuing his father’s legacy while raising the bar for customer service and craftsmanship. Clients consistently return to Gebco for all their construction needs because they know they can trust the work, the process, and the people behind it. Gebco truly cares about their clients and takes immense pride in delivering results that last.
These guys are legit! Old world craftsmanship, attention to detail and the project is always neat and clean as can be. They are very helpful with suggestions and have a portfolio of previous work for idea starters. Have used them in the past and will use them again in the future. Great to see Ethan carrying on the legacy of this fine company.
I hired Gebco Construction to do a kitchen remodel. Ethan and his crew were incredibly thorough and meticulous throughout the entire process. Not only did they pay close attention to every detail, they also kept the work area spotless, which I really appreciated. Their professionalsim and craftmanship truly stood out. They were always there when they said they would be and happy to answer any questions that I had. The project was completed on time and exceeded my expectations. I have a beautiful kitchen that has transformed my home. If your looking for a reliable contractor I highly recommend Gebco.
